This is our deepest Enneagram and most comprehensive training to date: a five-day, in-person intensive where the complete Empathy Architects system comes fully alive.

  • For new students, this intensive includes full Level 1 & 2 certification in the Empathy Architects Enneagram model.

  • For existing Level 1/2 grads, this is a live practicum + advanced expansion that builds on the foundations you’ve already gained—adding advanced teaching on instinctual stackings, neurodiversity and typing, and the 27 Trifix archetypes, plus real-time practice with type panels, deep inquiry, and typing labs.

Daily schedule: ~10:00 am – 5:30 pm, with lunch and breaks


Who This Intensive Is For

This training is for you if:

You’re a coach, therapist, educator, spiritual director, or leader who wants to use the Enneagram with real precision and care.

  • You’re a committed Enneagram student who wants something more rigorous and alive than “nine types on Instagram.”

  • You’ve already completed Level 1 and/or Level 2 with us online and want:

    • the live, embodied version of the work

    • 12+ hours of new content we haven’t taught in this form before

    • typing practice and a live community experience you simply can’t get from self-paced material

You do not need to be a professional to attend, but you do need to be serious, open, and willing to work in real time.

What Makes This Different From Our Online Certification?

We’ve been teaching Levels 1 and 2 virtually since 2021. This intensive is not “the same thing in person.”

For new students, this is:

  • A fast track to Level 1 & 2 certification

  • With far more contact, feedback, and live practice than any purely online format

For existing grads, this is:

  • The fieldwork version of everything you’ve learned so far

  • A place to:

    • watch us type live

    • sit in type panels and feel the system in bodies and nervous systems

    • practice typing yourself with real-time feedback

    • receive new teaching developed after we launched certification, including:

      • Instinctual stackings in depth

      • The 27 Trifix archetypes with visual presentations

      • A full Neurodiversity & Typing module (autism, ADHD, and beyond)

      • Our full Deep Inquiry method in real time for real sessions

Your original certification remains valid. This intensive lets you embody it and expand it

Everyone who completes the intensive will receive an Advanced Enneagram Teacher certification through Empathy Architects.


What We’ll Cover Each Day

Day 1 – The Living System: Types, Centers & Instinct Foundations

  • Learn the Enneagram as a dynamic system (Ichazo/Naranjo-informed), not just 9 labels

  • Map the three centers of intelligence (head, heart, gut) in real, behavioral terms

  • Clarify lines and wings as movements of energy and defense

  • Get a first look at Trifix (one type in each center) so you know where we’re headed

  • Introduce the three instincts (self-pres, social, sexual) and how they shape attention and anxiety

  • Experience center-based type panels so you can see and feel the system in actual people from day one

Day 2 – Instinctual Stackings & the 27 Subtypes

  • Deep dive into instinctual stackings (SP/SO/SX, SO/SP/SX, SX/SP/SO, etc.) - With Monique Lacoste, PhD

  • See how stacking order changes relational style, conflict patterns, and life focus

  • Walk through the 27 instinctual subtypes, using visual collages and real-life examples

  • Connect subtype patterns to everyday themes like money, sex, caretaking, leadership, and anxiety

  • Explore “when instincts collide” in relationships (SP×SX, SO×SO, etc.) and how that plays out in couples and groups

Day 3 – How to Type: Microexpressions, Archetypes & Character Structure

  • Learn our ethical typing framework: working in hypotheses, not verdicts

  • Study microexpressions and facial patterns that often correlate with centers and types

  • Explore key archetypal/character templates we see across clients and communities

  • Distinguish trauma armor, nervous-system patterning, and Enneagram structure so you don’t confuse them

  • Watch live deep inquiry demonstrations with participants

  • Hear a full debrief of what we tracked, how we formed type/instinct hypotheses, and where we stayed open

Day 4 – the 27 Trifix Archetypes & Deep Inquiry Method

  • Get a clear, usable introduction to Trifix (one type in each center)

    • Explore the 27 Trifix archetypes as distinct patterns of perception, defense, and gift

    • See our NEW Trifix collages to see how archetype shows up in in real life exemplars

    • Begin locating your own likely Trifix and seeing how it refines your sense of type

  • Learn our deep inquiry method step-by-step:

  • How to open and frame a session

  • How to follow emotional and narrative threads

  • How to pace sensitive or neurodivergent nervous systems

  • Watch us utilize the deep inquiry method live with participant volunteers

Day 5 – Type & Neurodivergence + Full Integrated Practicum

Morning – Type & Neurodivergence Module

  • Learn how autism, ADHD, and other neurotypes can show up across all nine types

  • Differentiate neurotype (wiring, regulation, sensory profile, attention) from Enneagram type (core fear, motivation, defense, relational stance)

  • Explore how meltdowns, shutdowns, masking, fawning, hyperfocus, and rejection sensitivity can arise from neurodivergence, type, or both

  • Identify common mistyping patterns for neurodivergent folks and how to avoid collapsing everything into “my type”

  • Practice holding a non-pathologizing, precise lens when working with ND clients, students, and communities

  • Q&A focused on real-world cases and your own experiences with ND + Enneagram

Afternoon – Integrated Typing & Inquiry Labs

  • Spend the afternoon in integrated typing and inquiry labs

  • Take brief histories and present issues while tracking:

    • Core type

    • Instinct and stacking

    • Likely subtype

    • Emerging Trifix archetype

    • Any neurodivergent patterns that may be shaping expression

  • Rotate roles as practitioner, client, and observer so you experience the work from all angles

  • Receive real-time feedback and supervision from us as you practice

  • Learn how to decide which layer to work from first (type, instinct, subtype, Trifix, or ND lens) in real sessions

  • Clarify how to bring this into your coaching, therapy, spiritual direction, teaching, or leadership in a grounded way

  • Close with guided integration and concrete next steps for applying what you’ve learned in the next 3–6 months

What You Leave With

By the end of Type, Instinct and Archetype, you will:

  • Be Level 1 & 2 certified in the Empathy Architects Enneagram model (if you’re new)

  • Have embodied your previous certification (if you’re already Level 1/2) through live panels, inquiry, and practicum

We’ve structured pricing to honor both new students and those who have already invested in our virtual certification.

New Students

(No previous EA Level 1 or 2 certification)

  • Early Bird: $2805 (a $3,00 value) (Early Bird ends January 15th, 2026)

Deposits, Plans & Group Size

  • A nonrefundable $800 deposit holds your spot and locks in your tuition tier.

  • The remaining balance is due February 12th, 2026.

Payment plans:

  • Early-bird registrations can split tuition into three payments (deposit + two).

  • Standard registrations can use two payments or pay in full.

We’re keeping the group intentionally small, so there’s time for real practice, questions, and individual attention. Once we reach capacity, we’ll start a waitlist.
