Virtual Typing Sessions

Hey there Enneagram Enthusiast!

You are probably here because you are unsure of your Type, or perhaps you've already found your Type, but you're hoping to clarify your Instinct and/or your Trifix (also known as Tritype®). 

In our real-time, live typing sessions (via Zoom), certified, advanced EA teacher Maeve Stoltz will use her expertise to assist you in pinning down all the elements of your self-typing.

Maeve Stoltz, MFA received her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Carlow University and completed advanced coursework in creativity coaching with the Creativity Coaching Association. Prior to working with the Enneagram, Maeve was a writing mentor and developmental editor specializing in literary memoir. For over a decade, she coached new and advanced writers on the craft of writing and the deep explorations of self that are necessary to write insightful, poignant memoir. Her interest in self-exploration and personality psychology led her to study the Enneagram in 2018, eventually becoming a certified Enneagram coach and teacher with Empathy Architects. Maeve hopes to use her creative mentoring background to enhance her work with the Enneagram and guide clients to meaningful self-discoveries and personal growth.

The Process

The only thing you need to do to prepare for our session is to take the Empathy Architects Enneagram test here and bring yourself to the session!  

I will then guide you through what we call the Deep Inquiry Process by using your words from the open-ended response section of the test as a guide. More detailed instructions on how the inquiry process works will be explained on our call. During the session, I will listen to and document your responses.

Following the session, you will receive a written report of my feedback and insights on how your personal lexicon (language use) and micro expressions indicate and point to certain Type/Trifix/Instinct possibilities. I do my best to write your report quickly, but turnaround is typically 2-3 business days. After you've had a chance to review your report, you will have the option to schedule a complimentary 20-minute follow-up call to discuss any questions you may have.

My Expectations

I have a few expectations of my own!  I ask all clients to keep these things in mind before coming into a typing session:

• I ask that you be as authentic as possible.  I always tell people that results are only as good as the information that I'm given.  Please give yourself permission to show up as you are and to be fully yourself.  That is the only way to guarantee as accurate a result as possible.  There is no judgment from my side, I only want to discover what is true for you!

• I ask that you stay open to whatever comes up during the session.  Many times people have a preconceived notion of what they believe their type is or they have attached to a certain outcome.  This session requires you to be open to new possibilities and to be willing to look at yourself in a new way.  Remember that I don't know you, which means I have no attachment to your results, one way or another.  My goal is always to be as objective as possible!

• I ask that you not use the expected "Enneagram language" to try and frame yourself in a particular light or to guide how I perceive you.  Many times the words and phrases people associate with the types are not the same as the lexicon that is revealed during the inquiry process.  Even when you do use type-specific language, if it is not truly coming from your type, that will become obvious.  So please try to be as authentic as you can and I will do the rest!

 • Finally, I ask that you give me the benefit of the doubt.  What is revealed does not always please everyone (especially if someone comes in too attached), but I will always be honest with you about what I see regardless.  Many years of knowledge, education, and research inform this process.  While I want everyone to feel satisfied with their session, I am always aiming to give you what you've purchased (my expert opinion) rather than a desired result.  It is difficult, at times nearly impossible, to see ourselves objectively and that is why educated and informed mentors are so necessary during our self-discovery journey.
