Trifix is a foundational Enneagram concept introduced by Enneagram forefather Oscar Ichazo, which recognizes three simultaneous fixations: one in the body, one in the heart, and one in the mind. Together, these three types form the Trifix, which reveals the architecture of ego expression across all three centers of intelligence.
TRIFIX STEMS
In this training, we’ll focus on Trifix stems, the pairings between two of your three types that create a distinct inner pattern. Each stem pairing reinforces a specific drive, strategy, or tension. For example, the 1–4 stem can lead to emotional perfectionism, while the 5–8 stem emphasizes intellectual assertiveness. These pairings shape how your fixations work together (or against each other) in real time, revealing hidden compulsions, survival strategies, and paradoxes.
By exploring stems, we illuminate the substructure within your Trifix, what gets reinforced, what is canceled, and what drives your behavior when instinct takes over.
